Archive for March, 2013

Ok, so I decided to try a new fun experiment with the high school seniors that I photographed during 2012.  I’m going to give each one the chance to earn some free prints and we’ll call it the High School Senior Social Media Race For FREE Prints.  Who doesn’t like the chance at some free prints.  If you’re seeing this post, then you have the chance to help them.  And depending on how this goes, I may consider doing it again next year as well, but it all depends on YOU!

Here’s how it works:

Below are a list of seniors and a link to each of their individual blog posts.  At the bottom of each post is a number of options for Likes, Shares, and Comments.  The goal is to get as many of each of them as possible between now and the end of April.  On May 1st I’ll add up all of the Likes, Shares, Comments, and so on and each senior will have one final total number.  Here’s where the free prints comes in.  For every count of 25 that senior will earn a print credit.  Each print credit is worth the choice of either an 8×10, two 5×7 or 4×6’s, or a set of 8 wallets.

As the process goes along I’ll periodically update the count for each senior on this post.  I’m sure you think that there’s a plan in place for the senior that gets the highest count.  That has crossed my mind, but I’m not sure what I should do yet.  I’ve thought about a free session either for the senior or that they can give a friend.  I’ve also thought about a free wall poster, or a small specialty item.  I think it might be a good idea to let each of you reading this post a comment on what you’d like to see the winner receive.

So here’s a couple of things to remember: the count is not based on the number of people, but the number of Likes, Shares, Comments, etc.  So one person can do all of them and increase one persons total count.  The other thing to remember is that each senior and their family are not only allowed, but encourage to do the same as their participation counts as well.  So now stop wasting time and start helping these seniors earn some free prints.

We met with Sean and his friend Joey on their farm for the senior pictures.  We included their horse and cow, tractor, trucks, and barn all into a variety of images uniquely for them.
