The process of creating custom imagery and art for you is a very personal process.  It is a combination of my artistic vision and techniques and your own personal story.  This is not simply a business of “come to me and I’ll take pictures with you in them.”  It is a very special and intimate process in which we communicate ahead of time so that we can learn who you are and what makes you You.  What is your personality, your favorite things to do, what do you think about, what drives you or holds you back, what is your story?  Once we know these details, then it’s our job to work with you on how to best capture and showcase your story.  Pictures of you should not just look like you, but should be representations of who you are?

In a recent post I talked about how adding video services was one of my goals for the year.  For a long time I’ve been wanting to add video to my photography, but just never invested in the tools or training.  This year however, has been as different story.  I now have a camera system, software, and education in my pocket.  I still have a ways to go before I’m ready to start pricing video services, but so far I feel confident in what we have produced and in knowing that I can get a simply job done.  Over all it has not been as difficult as I’d thought it would be.  I’ll admit that I was intimidated and resistant at first till I realize how to do it and what I can do with it.  It is complicated in it’s own way, but it’s also challenging to me as a photographer as it makes me think in a completely different creative way.  Plus you can’t do much adjusting after capture so you have to be even more accurate in camera when you capture video on an HDSLR camera than when you’re just taking pictures.

I’ll let you view the videos below that we have put together so far this year.  I have more in the works which I’ll be adding later, but I believe I’m ready to start officially adding video to my photography, which includes some photo fusion of video and stills combined into a slideshow.  Some of the ways I’m planning to add video is with short interview clips with pregnant or new moms, or creating video announcements, videos of seniors talking about their senior year and future plans, and videos of an engaged couple talking about how much they love each other, or videos or professionals talking about what they do and why.  The list goes on, and I’m excited!
